See the Winners of the LEGO DC Super Heroes Contest
What do you get when you take a fun concept, splash a hefty amount of dedication, a sprinkle of patience and top it off with a healthy heap of imagination? You could create the stop-motion animated video called “LEGO Batman – Just My Imagination,” which recently won the LEGO DC Super Heroes Contest.
The LEGO DC Super Heroes Contest was introduced last year at San Diego Comic-Con. Contestants were asked to get creative and make a live-action or a stop motion video, take a photo or draw a picture featuring their favorite Super Heroes from the DC Universe. The Glasure Family from Florida did just that and the end result was that they were selected from thousands of entries as the grand prize winner by LEGO and Warner Bros.
The prize awarded to the Glasures included a paid trip to California, a VIP Studio Tour around the WB lot, lunch at the star-studded WB Commissary, an escorted tour of WB Animation AND they were lucky enough to watch a recording session for an animated show. After that, DC was kind enough to give the family a royal tour around their DC Entertainment office in Burbank. The tour proved to be a real highlight for the family and provided them with plenty of fantastic photo opportunities, like the one shown below.
The Glasure Family finally concluded their trip by heading to Carlsbad for a day at LEGOLAND California.
Picking a winner was obviously a tough chore for the judges, but the fun, inventive and humorous message provided in the Glasures' video obviously won all involved over. Check out the winning video yourself and congratulate the Glasure Family on their fantastic accomplishment.
