Captain Atom, Resurrection Man & Voodoo Cancelled by DC Comics

Joining Justice League International in DC Comics’ second wave of New 52 cancellations, Captain AtomResurrection Man & Voodoo will end in September. Last week, the publisher announced that four new titles – The Phantom Stranger, Team 7Talon and Sword of Sorcery – will launch as part of the #0 Month event.

For every series ended, another series will take their place. Thus DC appears to bring validity to their New 52 overall title & continue to bring us more interesting content.

The solicits also show that September’s DC Universe Presents #0 will feature characters Hawk & Dove, O.M.A.C., Mister Terrific and Blackhawks’ Mother Machine, all characters whose titles were wrapped up in May. This validates a comment by Co-Publisher Dan DiDio last week that, "if a series does go away, we want to make sure we have a proper place for the characters."

Could this mean we will see Nathaniel Adam/Captain Atom, Mitch Shelley/Resurrection Man & Priscilla Kitaen/Voodoo in other New 52 series? Perhaps this is a good sign of things to come.
