These two titles are definitely worth checking out. The New 52 FCBD Special Edition hosts an impressive creative team and a storyline that leads directly into next year’s major event, “The Trinity Wars.”

Joker wreaks havoc on facebook!!

Next week is legends week but DCUO needs your help!!. DCUO uses facebook to promote new dlc, thanks to Mepps for always providing info.

The Joker has taken control of the DCUO Facebook page and is withholding vital information on our next DLC pack, the Last Laugh! As you may know, next week is Legends Week here at DCUO, but we won’t be able to release any more information until the Joker is dealt with! It’s up to all of you to unravel his scheme and discover what secret codewords will get him to reveal what he knows. He has dispatched agents into the game to cause chaos and destruction, but also with clues to what those codewords are. Defeat them, learn their clues, and return to the DCUO Facebook page with the answers to learn more about DLC4, The Last Laugh!

We suspect you will be able to find these agents in game at the following times and places. Please note that all events will happen in the PvP phase!

EU PC – Monday, May 21st, 2012 – Metropolis – 12:00-1:00 p.m. PDT (9:00-10:00 p.m. GMT)

US PC – Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012 – Metropolis – 12:00-1:00 p.m. PDT

Green Lantern The Animated Series Coming to DVD

Since The Green Lantern Animated Series was first announced I have been overly excited about this show. Now, as of its airing I find myself hooked on it being the newly obsessed Green Lantern fan that I am. I try my best never to miss an episode, but let’s face it sometimes we all stress finding the time. That is where the most recent news for The Green Lantern Animated Series comes into play in the first DVD release of The Green Lantern Animated Series currently labeled “Rise of the Red Lanterns” set to be released August 28^th 2012 from Warner Home Video, the DVD will also feature a preview of The Green Lantern: The Animated Series comic book which had its first release in a thirty two page debut comic book Green Lantern: The Animated Series #0 released on November 30^th 2011.

Thus far the TV show was nominated for two awards during the February 12^th 2012 Annie Awards in Royce Hall, Los Angeles California for “Best music in a television production: Frederik Wiedmann and for Best general audience animated production.” The first DVD will be season one part one and will feature the first thirteen episodes of the show. May 26, 2012 will be the thirteenth episode of the show to air. What this boils down to is a good animated TV show based on adventures in the world of Green Lantern and a green blast for the whole family.

Green Arrow Talks to MTV

In a video posted today by MTV, the newest incarnation of Oliver Queen, Stephen Amell, discusses the versatility of the costume he’ll be wearing on Arrow as well as the training involved to get him into crime-fighting shape.

When asked about similarities between his Emerald Archer and the most recent incarnation of Green Arrow on Smallville played by Justin Hartley, Amell mentions that he and Hartley are both acquainted with each other and that both interpretations of the character are remarkably dissimilar. “It’s very different and people will get that after about two minutes of the show.”

Here is a sneak peek at some of the styles for the shields coming out for the new dlc, the style’s are fresh and exciting and like most of you im looking forward to checking it out as soon as it becomes available.

The Last Laugh is a Player vs. Player (PvP) focused DLC Pack, but one major component is the addition of the all new weapon, Shield, which can be used in all areas of the game. Everyone who gets the DLC Pack (either in the Marketplace or with a Legendary Membership) will get access to Shield’s whole new weapon tree and the chance to use these amazing new weapons. Bash your enemies into next week with brutal melee attacks, or throw your shield and knock them out from a distance!

One of the things we’re really excited about is how free flowing the Shield weapon combos feel, allowing you to adjust your plan of attack on the fly. With Shield, you can throw down a finishing move at any point in your attack chain, and the number of attacks you’ve made up until that point determines which finisher you get. This means you can start off with a finisher (or, a melee hold) and hit someone good with a Spinning Backhand, but you can also choose to bash twice (melee tap), then hold, to perform a Leaping Stab. (Don’t try that one at home. It’s quite painful.)

Of course, tapping more before your finisher means a more powerful move, like the Overhead Plate Smash (four times) or the Handspring Kick (seven times), just to name a few. Stay unpredictable, adapt on the fly, and use your Shield to bring the pain when you’re in the thick of the battle!

Now, it just wouldn’t be a proper Shield if you couldn’t stand back and throw it at the good guys. I mean, bad guys. Of course I meant bad guys. And, you know, you’d be a pretty silly hero if once you threw your Shield, it just bounced away and you lost it. That’s why you can always count on your Shield to fly true to your target and then ricochet back to you. For added fun, it will hit anything in its path, too, so use your positioning to your advantage and aim wisely!

If you’ve been following Shield Week, you’ve seen quite a few of Shield’s many new weapon styles, but just in case you haven’t been, here’s a few more!

As you can see the weapons tree looks exciting for a few roles especially for tanks and trollers, you can already see the vitalization and the cunning in there. So this is critical for anybody wanting to up their stats.
